The Cafe

Tales from our kitchen table

Nestled in the heart of the mill — just a few steps from the original FOXFORD looms — you’ll find the bustling FOXFORD Cafe.

Made in Foxford

Fresh produce is delivered every morning from the local area, as are high quality seasonal ingredients sourced from up and down the West of Ireland, and herbs grown close-by in our FOXFORD gardens. Artisan bread, cakes and pastries, are all made on the premises, as well as a selection of hot and cold dishes — served with a selection of dressing and chutneys made in the FOXFORD kitchen.

Surrounded By History

Not only will you hear the intermittent noise of the looms drifting up from the ground floor, the cafe is also located in the very heart of the original mill building. Bright airy rooms including the conservatory, library and old manager’s office have been transformed into spaces that are perfect for catching up with groups of friends or families of all sizes. Keep an eye out for original maps, building plans and photographs dotted around, which tell the story of the rich heritage of the mill and its importance to the village of Foxford

The Perfect Pitstop

Thanks to our location in the rugged Irish countryside, our mill, shop and cafe are an ideal resting place for cyclists and walkers as they explore the County Mayo landscape. There is ample parking for cars and coaches, with designated disabled parking spaces close to the entrance. The cafe on the first floor is accessible to all and has capacity for wheelchairs and pushchairs. We have free wifi and charging points, and baby changing facilities are also provided.
